On 10th June 2026, the outgoing Attorney General, Hon. Kiryowa Kiwanuka officially handed over office to his successor, Hon. Sam Mayanja, during a handover ceremony held in the Ministry boardroom.
The event was attended by the Hon. Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, the Deputy Attorney General, the Solicitor General, the Deputy Solicitor General, the Permanent Secretary, the Under Secretary, Commissioners, Directors, and other technical staff of the Ministry.
The colorful ceremony marked a smooth leadership transition and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continuity and effective service delivery.
