The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs shall take part in the 2024 edition of the Makerere run, organized by the Makerere University Endowment Fund. The theme of this year’s run is ‘run for students with disabilities’, with the proceeds to be used to fund the construction of a student’s center and the disability Unit.
Today afternoon during the handover of the running kits to the Permanent Secretary (PS) by the University leadership, the PS thanked the University leadership for coming out with such a good cause, which made it so easy for the Ministry justify participation.
Mr. Kizito Simon the Deputy University Secretary, thanked the Ministry for joining the University in seeing that disabled students also find it easier to access education, and invited the Ministry leadership to go and visit the site where the construction is going on to see where the money contributed goes.
The run is scheduled for Sunday 18th August starting from the Makerere University Freedom square.
