The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, in this financial year (2021-2022) has opened up a new Regional Office in Soroti City. The office shall be used to serve the people that make up all of Teso Sub Region from Kaberamaido, to Soroti to Bukedea all through to Katakwi.
The Office shall be temporarily housed at by the Soroti City administration as they finalise the process of constructing their own office building. During a recent trip by the Minister of Justice, who was represented by the Administrator General, land was allocated to the Ministry to construct residences for the staff who shall be working there.
The purpose of opening up such offices is to continue the decentralisation of services closer to the people. This shall be the 7th office opened up by the ministry in addition to the already existing 6 of Mbarara, Fort portal, Gulu, Arua, Mbale and Moroto.
