On May 12th, the Gulu Regional Office proudly participated in the exhibition held during the official launch of the Patongo High Court Circuit and the commissioning of the Patongo Chief Magistrate’s Court in Agago District.
This landmark occasion, graced by the Chief Justice and attended by key judicial stakeholders and members of the community, marked a significant milestone in enhancing access to justice in Northern Uganda, particularly in the Acholi Sub-region.
During the exhibition, the Gulu team highlighted the vital role of the Ministry in decentralizing services to better reach communities. The presence of the Administrator General’s services was especially welcomed, as many attendees expressed appreciation that assistance with family-related legal matters is now more accessible than ever before.
Visitors engaged with real-life stories of transformation, learning firsthand how our decentralization efforts are helping to close the justice gap in remote and underserved areas. The event also served as an important platform for strengthening collaboration with judicial officers, local leaders, and legal practitioners.
We commend our Gulu Regional Office team for their commitment, professionalism, and unwavering resolve to serve, even with limited resources. Their dedication continues to ensure that justice is truly accessible to all. The team was joined by Mr. David Andrew Magomu, the Head of Moroto Regional Office.
