DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

The Mandate of the Department of Finance and Administration is; “provide support services to the Political Leadership and the Directorates and Departments of the Ministry for efficient and effective service delivery”.

The support services rendered include; financial management, human resource
management, records management, ICT services, Communications and Public Relations, Administrative support, Estates management, facilities and logistical support. The Department provides leadership, planning, organization, coordination, implementation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation support or services.

The department has the following Divisions and Units. Administration, Policy and Planning, Internal Audit, Procurement and disposal Unit, Human Resource, Accounts, Records Management, ICT unit, Communications and Public Relations, Estates management.

Assistant Commissioner, Human Resource

Heads the Human Resource Management Unit.

She is responsible for providing guidance and direction on all human resource activities, administer and interprets human resource policies, procedures, practices, rules and regulations.

 

 Mr. SSsekate Robert

Assistant Commissioner, Policy and Planning unit

Heads the Policy and Planning unit.

He is responsible for planning, budgeting, project formulation, monitoring and evaluation.

He is also responsible for research analysis development and formulation of policies.

 

 Mr. Muzaale Paul

Principal Assistant Secretary

Heads the Administration unit.

Assists and supports the Under-secretary in interpretation, review, coordination and implementation of Government policies and programmes.
